What is sildenafil?
Sildenafil is the generic variant of Viagra®. This means that this medication contains the same active ingredient (sildenafil citrate) as the brand-name drug Viagra®. So the work is identical, but at a lower price.
How to use sildenafil
Sildenafil is usually taken 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity. The tablet should be used with water and can be taken with or without food. For occasional use, follow your doctor's advice for the correct dose.
How long does it take for sildenafil to work?
Sildenafil is a fast-acting medication. Good to know: sildenafil does not give you a spontaneous erection if you are not sexually excited. The best time to take sildenafil is approximately 1 hour before sexual activity, but you can take the medication any time between 4 hours and 30 minutes before sexual activity.
How long does sildenafil stay active in my body?
Sildenafil is a temporary acting medication with an average working time of 4 hours. Sildenafil (and other erectile dysfunction treatments) will not give you an erection for the entire time they are in your body and your erection will still decrease normally after ejaculation.
Is sildenafil safe for me?
